November 1st starts the Lake Ann Branch’s promotion of The Almira Historical Society. The Society has a single goal: to preserve our heritage and provide a lasting legacy to future generations.
In order to accomplish this goal going forward, a larger space is needed. There are far more artifacts that need to be displayed than will fit in the small space the AHS currently occupies. The funds that are raised will go directly to the building fund in hopes of creating a much larger multi-purpose room. Not only will this allow more items to be displayed, but will provide a designated meeting space and offer a “prep room” for new items that are donated.
The museum is located at 19440 Maple Street in the Village of Lake Ann. It is open on Saturday and Tuesday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In order to help them raise funds, Honor Bank will be:
- Selling candy bars in each of our branch locations
- Employees will donate $5 every Friday during the month of November for the opportunity to wear jeans.
- Our Lake Ann Circle branch will be hosting a bake sale on Monday, November 20.
